Semi-Finals Game 2: Santa Ana - San Salvador 72-85

San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Santa Ana 's 28. San Salvador forced 22 Santa Ana turnovers. Strangely Santa Ana outrebounded San Salvador 47-35 including 38 on the defensive glass. Cuban forward Yoel Cubillas (204-1994) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. Dominican guard Nargenis Ulloa (182-1997) contributed with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Four San Salvador players scored in double figures. Guatemalan point guard Lee Vasquez (173) replied with 30 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and American center Marc Montavious (206-1990, college: Georgetown, KY) added 13 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Santa Ana. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
